Gilles Cotin, archive manager at the Université de Vin who is retiring this year. Thanks to Gilles and the Université de Vin for giving me access to their formidable library. The university trains the next generation of wine professional, from viticulture and winemaking to marketing and oenotourisme. It also has short courses open to consumers; check out their website for more details.

Dear Matt Walls,
Just to complete your description.
The vineyard area as defined for the Côtes du Rhône Villages Suze-la-Rousse AOC comprises 1,935 hectares, with over 200 hectares currently under production.
It encompasses the four communes of Suze-la-Rousse, Bouchet and Tulette in the Drôme, and Bollène in Vaucluse, So, it’s not only the city of SUZE LA ROUSSE.
Thanks, feel free to add more!
The images are to support the chapter on my book on the wines of the Rhône, due for publication in October 2020. There will be a fuller description of the appellation there.
