In reply to Matt. Hi Matt, Finally have stocks of pretty much all Burrowing Owl varietals here now, as well as samples from Noble Ridge & Clos Du Soleil wineries, exciting times ahead for these producers once they start to get more recognition I think.

In reply to Peter Federico. Hi Peter, we are expecting some Canadian friends to visit in September, who like the White Riesling from Peller Estates, (not an ice wine)as did I on sampling it. Would you know any wines available here in the Midlands of the UK, that we could offer as a close substitute to help their stay be more convivial?

In reply to Matt. Hi Matt, We finally have our first consignment of BC wine from the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. We have shipped over the Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Syrah & Chardonnay. Small quantities but a promising atart!

Hi Matt,

Excellent article that I have only just come across! I have been working with the Government of British Columbia Trade and Commerce Board for sometime now with a view to importing a selection of wines (not icewines!) from the Okanagan.

Finally we seem to be on the verge of a consolidated consignment from several BC wineries, among them being Tinhorn Creek, Burrowing Owl and Summerhill Pyramid. We plan to get some national distribution through our established network and see where it goes from there.The wines will also be available for retail sale through our website http://www.drayman.co.uk

Hi Peter. Not that many I’m afraid at present, though I suspect we’ll see more and more coming online since the big London tasting. Hi Matt. As a Canadian from Ontario that now lives in the UK, I am keen to be able to buy Ontario wines (and especially Ontario Rieslings) here as I believe that they are well-made wines. Following the signing of the North America Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the USA and Mexico, Ontario (and Canadian wine producers in general) have moved away from using indigenous North American grapes to produce wine and are now making great wines using Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, etc. I hope that the world will realise that Canadian wine producers are not one-trick ponies (only able to produce Icewine) and that the rest of their repertoire is tasty and worth exploring. In the meantime, do you know any wine merchants that are importing Ontario wines in quantity?
