Hi Enrique. I don’t speak Spanish I’m afraid, so a bit difficult for me to understand what you’re trying to say. But as far as I can tell you’re not keen on Equipo Navazos because they don’t own vineyards or a winery, but buy barrels from other wineries and sell them under their own label. Negociants have been working in this way all across the wine world forever – it’s not a slight against the wineries they are buying from – quite the opposite. And they usually name the winery on the bottle anyway. This works well for those wineries without a developed route to market, or those who are need of ready cash. And through the quality they have been able to uncover, they are bringing fantastic sherries to other markets, such as the UK. Anyway, sorry if I haven’t understood properly. But I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Equipo Navazos.

Thanks Masuvas! That means all the more coming from a local. It’s currently so underrated, and therefore such good value, that there has surely never been a better time to explore it.

So I must say THANK YOU for such a good explanation, since Sherry has a long history of being mistreated, most of the times by the locals.
