Drinking the wine or building a relation to it? I had just entertaint him with the wonderful story behind the paderewski vineyard in Paso. My answer to him was, that it goes hand in hand. In my early “wine-days”, opportunisme was driving a lot of what I did. Always looking for the perfect highscore parker darling – didn’t really care about finding my own footsteps and my own paths on the map.
But luckily I grew up and built my own map – no painting can ever beat that.
I am in flat out agreement with you on this.
