Thanks Daniel. Both the Firesteeds were good value for sure. When it comes to US wines in general, I tend to prefer this more nuanced style to most Napa Pinots. Some brilliant stuff coming out of Sonoma though - have had some stunning wines recently from Littorai, Failla and Anthill Farms.

Good coverage.
The Cristom wines via Flint rocked as did the Antica Terra. The Firesteed Willamette is great value, and I liked the Elk Cove wines very much. Broad brush, I prefer these wines to most from California. Top level CA is in a league of its own though.

Hi Paola,

Glad you enjoyed it. I've been mispronouncing Willamette until last week, handy way of remembering it. Domaine Drouhin also do a wine called 'Laurène' which is just as good but a bit more expensive - both are well worth a look.

Informative and useful - the Domaine Drouhin sounds just my thing. And good to know how to pronounce the region properly as well.
