Hi Linda,

Interesting points, thanks for the comments. I did wonder when writing it whether I could have fleshed out the how the shop looked a little more - but decided to pare it back for the sake of being concise. I'll try and add a little more details in forthcoming posts.

The thing that struck me most when visiting the shop, and what I felt was the key to its longevity, was the strength of Graham's principles. This, and also his commitment to his customers in the local community. I hope at least that these points came through in the piece.

Best of luck with its continued success,

Matt

I think you could have flagged up the individual idiosyncratic feel of the Mr Lawrence style in your review of his wine shop. The range of wine is honest and wholesome without the supermarket fakeness that anything in a wine bottle must be real wine!!It feels like buying wine in the days of Dickens when shopping was all about a trip out to meet others and make decisions. Buying a bottle of wine is like choosing a lifestyle; you missed a great opportunity to promote that.
