Good Condrieu isn't cheap, it's true. But considering how distinctive and unique it is, I often wonder why it's not more expensive, to be honest. Suspect it might get increasingly so over time. Hope not, I drink a lot! Haven't tried the Gut Oggau though, will keep an eye out for that.

I've been making an effort to drink more of these wines after a bit of a break. I've had some lovely Gewürztraminer (especially Gut Oggau Emmeram at the Dynamic Tasting a week ago) and Muscat.

I used to adore Viognier, or more precisely, Condrieu. I fell out of love a bit, but a big part of that was price. I still find good Condrieu expensive with so much else to try.
